Strawberry “smash” for this little strawberry shortcake!
I met this sweet little girls family when her older sister was born just a few years ago. It’s always so fun for me when I get to “grow” with my families…and it’s what I love most about being a newborn and family photographer!
When mom contacted me to book miss Charlotte’s one year session, they decided not to do a cake smash. I LOOOOOVE cake smash sessions but there’s also something so refreshing about non-cake smash sessions.
Mom and Dad call Charlotte their little strawberry shortcake so, of course, we had to do a strawberry themed session! She wanted strawberries, red tones, and some aqua as well. I used little aqua berry baskets, tissue poms in red, aqua, and a little white, and some cute red polka dot balloons to look a little like strawberries. Of course, I also used fresh strawberries scattered over the set.
It didn’t take long before Charlotte discovered the strawberries and went to town. We weren’t really planning on having any food for her at all but Charlotte had other ideas haha! I absolutely LOVE how this set and session came out.
