As a Rockwall newborn photographer, I get to work with all kinds of clients and babies. Sometimes, those clients are also family! This particular baby was very special to me as he is my cousin’s first baby boy! If you remember from her maternity session, we were very close growing up. I was so excited for this little guys newborn session. I couldn’t wait to finally meet him!
As with most of my newborn sessions, I try to incorporate personal touches to make sure each session really fits each client. Whether that be incorporating colors or themes from the nursery or representing special memories or interests between mom and dad. This little guy’s Dad is a very dedicated and proud police officer. I knew before they asked that I wanted to incorporate that into their session. We did several setups with Dad’s badge and even some of his gear. I also had a really cute felted police bear from Aubrey’s Felties made special for their session. I love her little felted items and they always bring the perfect touch to every session.
My absolute favorite image is of baby Patrick wearing his Dad’s police hat. Most don’t know all of the background “work” that goes into a newborn session. That particular image was definitely a process to get just right but I wouldn’t have changed a thing about it.
I am definitely proud of this session and of his amazing mom and dad. I just know they will love them for years and years!
