Being a newborn photographer, I truly love that I get to meet so many amazing families. Steven and Lauren are two of those amazing people. When Lauren contacted me to book their newborn session, she mentioned they lived out of the country as volunteer directors at a children’s home.
During their newborn session, we chatted a bit about their work in Honduras. Steven and Lauren are the current directors at House of Hope in Puerto Lempira, Honduras. They house 35-45 children of all ages. This includes children partially disabled, abused, neglected, and/or malnourished. They joked that their sweet little girl, Penelope, was really like their 36th child. I almost forgot I was in the middle of a session as I was so amazed at how selfless these new parents were. Penelope rocked her session like a pro! I love her little fingers and toes and she looks so sweet in that romper! Like her 35 “brothers and sisters” in Honduras, she is so loved!
